Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)

The Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) service is to monitor and protect lung health in high-risk work environments. Construction workers, firefighters, and factory workers are often exposed to dust, fumes, chemicals, and other airborne hazards, which can negatively impact respiratory function over time. By providing regular PFT assessments, we help detect early signs of lung diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other respiratory conditions, ensuring that employees can work safely and effectively.

Benefits:
- Early Detection of Respiratory Issues: Regular PFTs can detect early signs of lung disease, preventing long-term damage and improving overall worker health.
- Workplace Safety Compliance: Meets regulatory requirements for respiratory health monitoring in industries where workers are exposed to respiratory hazards, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Reduced Absenteeism: By identifying respiratory issues early, workers can receive prompt treatment, reducing the likelihood of extended sick leave and improving overall workforce productivity.
- Enhanced Worker Performance: Healthy lungs are essential for physical labor. Ensuring that construction workers have optimal lung function can reduce fatigue and improve overall job performance.

Who Should Get a PFT?
OSHA requires pulmonary function tests (PFTs) in work settings where workers are exposed to respiratory hazards such as silica, asbestos, lead, welding fumes, and chemicals. These tests are part of a broader medical surveillance program intended to protect workers' lung health and detect conditions early.

Regular PFTs are particularly important for workers in trades that involve:

  • Exposure to respirable crystalline silica (e.g., concrete workers, demolition workers)
  • Asbestos (e.g., demolition, insulation workers)
  • Lead (e.g., painters, renovators)
  • Welding fumes (e.g., welders, metal workers)

Employers in these industries must ensure that their workers are regularly monitored to comply with OSHA regulations and prevent long-term respiratory damage.

Why Choose Our Service?
Our Pulmonary Function Test service is conducted by experienced healthcare professionals using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate, reliable results. The tests are non-invasive, quick, and can be performed on-site or as part of a scheduled health check-up for your workforce. We are committed to helping you safeguard the health of your workers and ensure their ability to perform their jobs safely.

Protect your construction workforce’s respiratory health today by offering regular PFT assessments, helping reduce work-related health risks and promoting a healthier, more productive work environment.
